Basic Emergency Life Support BELS Course is the minimum qualification required by the workplace health and safety legislation for the workplace first aider. It will provide you with an understanding of how to apply immediate care of an injured or suddenly sick casualty be that first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until more advanced medical help arrives.

Perform CPR - HLTCPR201A
Provide Basic Emergency Life Support - HLTFA201A

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Basic Emergency Life Support BELS Course can be attended by anybody 14 years and older. Participants who attend a course under the age of 14 will need a guardian to sign a consent form.
There are NO pre-requisites or co-requisites for this competency unit.
