Australian Open Temporary Tennis Court
The Australian Open is one of Australia's most watched sporting events. January 2005 and January 2006 KCL Sports was asked to design and build a temporary court that could be used to play exibition matches outside Melbourne's Art Centre and Sydney's Opera House. The main sponsor American Express had arranged for an exhibition match between Pat Rafter, Alicia Molik, Vitas Geralitis and Matts Wilander. The big screen and live feed set up was a fantastic opportunity for Sydney siders to be part of the Australian Open without having to go to Melbourne.
